SAYING IT ALL
WITHOUT SAYING A WORD.
Named for the first year tequila was produced, 1800® Tequila doesn’t rely on smoke and mirrors – it embraces the authentic roots and heritage that have contributed so greatly to the smooth, rich taste it has become synonymous with.
That’s why the brand continues to employ its original distillation process, using authentic masonry kilns and copper pot stills.
The age-old traditional formula is crafted with Weber Blue Agave plants grown in the mineral-rich volcanic soil of Jalisco, Mexico, and aged for eight to twelve years before they’re handpicked.
The bottles that end up on the shelves contain the same quality tequila as every bottle that has left the distillery for centuries.
Cabeza Tequila Blanco is handcrafted by the Vivanco family in the Los Altos region of Jalisco, where they have been cultivating agave on their eight hundred acre mountainside land for five generations. This distinctive spirit perfectly captures the rich earthiness and delicate sweetness of mature agave, while also offering complex layers of green vegetables, citrus fruit, black pepper and earthy mineral. The final touch was to bottle Cabeza Tequila at a higher proof to emphasize its presence when mixed in cocktails.
The 86 Company is comprised of notable industry experts Simon Ford, Jason Kosmos, Dushan Zaric, Malte Barnekow and Kris Roth. Created for mixing, their high quality spirits were formulated in partnership with highly respected artisanal distillers, as well as recognized cocktail professionals. The distinctive bottle design was developed with the career bartender in mind and features an ergonomic shape that allows for easy handling and pouring.
Not all Tequilas and Mezcal's are made equal! Your basic Tequila only has to contain 51% Agave and your standard Mezcal only 80%. Don Juan is made from 100% Blue Agave and when you have a sip you will understand the difference this core ingredient can make.
Espolon Tequila has been winning some impressive awards at international competitions during that tenure. Like any tequila that’s worth your time, Espolon is 100% agave, and it’s made where all pure agave tequila is made, in Los Altos (the highlands), Jalisco.
You have two options of Espolon to chose from, the Blanco and the Reposado. They’re the same tequilas, made by the same process, but the Blanco is rested in stainless steel for a few months, while the Reposado is rested in American oak barrels for six months.
The Blanco has a slightly sweet nose with a hint of pine and tropical fruit. It’s subtle, and the nose disappears almost entirely once you pour it on ice. There’s an undeniable heat to this tequila when you drink it on the rocks, and the agave takes a prominent role in the profile, followed by a peppery finish.
The Reposado has more of a roasted flavor, and picks up some notes of char and caramel from the time it spends hanging out in American oak. Neither tequila is as smooth as some of the other pure agaves that you’ll find on the market today. It’s not necessarily a bad sipper, but this tequila, intense and vibrant, was really made for cocktails. Espolon makes a big deal out of the wild, experimental concoctions that its bartenders and fans create using the Blanco and Resosado,
Jose Cuervo Gold is the world's most popular tequila. The 'gold standard' by which others are judged. Cuervo Gold is a smooth tequila, with a slightly sweet-seeming taste. It is a blend of premium and reposado tequilas. The tequila has been rested in oak for a minimum of two months, which gives it its amber hue.
Milagro produce what could be considered one of the most exquisite tequilas in all the world. Superbly packaged in this remarkable hand-blown crystal bottle, the Select Barrel Reserve Anejo is made from 100% blue agave grown in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. Harvested at the peak of ripeness under the watchful eye of the Master Distiller and then transferred to roast in traditional clay ovens, this exceptional spirit is handcrafted from beginning to end - including spending 3 years in French Oak to gather more complexity. The Añejo itself is an intriguing mixture of sweetness and oak that's both smooth and full-bodied.
Tequila artisans, Milagro, are the proud handcrafters of some of the most exquisite tequilas in the world. At its heart is the finest, hand-selected 100% blue agave that is estate grown in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. The agave is then harvested in prime condition, transferred to traditional clay ovens to roast which then produces a bounty that is then put through triple distillation. The resulting spirit is then aged in French Oak for 10 months which produces a Reposado with a honey amber colour that radiates from its hand-blown crystal bottle.
Milagro is without doubt one of the most exquisite handcrafted tequilas in the world. Estate grown in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, this 100% blue agave tequila is harvested at the peak of ripeness under the watchful eye of the Milagro Master Distiller. Traditional clay ovens are used to roast the agave and the result is triple distilled to perfection. French oak barrels are then employed to further age this wonderful Silver Tequila to produce a crisp, fresh and wonderfully smooth spirit with a slight hint of vanilla. All packaged in this remarkable hand-blown crystal bottle.
Patrón tequila is offered in several different varieties: Gran Patrón Burdeos, Gran Patrón Platinum, Gran Patrón Piedra, Patrón Silver, Patrón Añejo, and Patrón Reposado. It is also available in a tequila-coffee blend known as Patrón XO Cafe, a tequila-chocolate-coffee blend known as Patrón XO Cafe Dark Cocoa, and an orange liqueur known as Patrón Citrónge.
Patrón tequilas, like all tequilas, are made from the "Maguey" (heart or core) of the blue agave plant
The original Patrón Tequila was produced by Casa 7 Leguas, one of the oldest Mexican distilleries. St. Maarten Spirits (owners John Paul DeJoria and Martin Crowley) purchased the brand rights in 1989 and in 2002 production moved to a new distillery.
In 2000, Ed Brown took over as CEO, and began to distance the Patrón brand from the reputation of tequila in the US as a bad-tasting spirit and what people drank for extremely quick intoxication. Following the advertising strategy of Grey Goose, Patrón presented its tequila as "premium" and signalled "taste and sophistication" through individually-numbered glass bottles. The target audience is mostly vodka drinkers in nightclubs and trendy bars. Through persistent references by country music and hip hop singers, and by Lil Jon in particular, Patrón has become a fixture of popular culture.
