Kilchoman’s Loch Gorm
"Loch Gorm", the designation for their ongoing sherry matured releases. This one was matured for 5 years in Oloroso Sherry butts and finished in Oloroso Sherry hogsheads (approx 300L) for two months.
The label refers to an area just north of the Kilchoman distillery where some of the most heavily peated water on Islay is sourced from the largest fresh water loch on Islay. (It's also a great place for fishing brown trout!) Unlike most of Islay, Loch Gorn is mostly flat.
